Under the co-ordination of DaimlerChrysler the ADASE consortium combines the extensive knowledge of leading European car manufacturers, vehicle components suppliers, traffic institutes, road operators and governmental bodies. Due to the interdisciplinary character of ADASE all of the mayor players in this field are involved in this project.

As to political and public awareness the Dutch Ministry of Transport Public Works and Water Management  and the French Centre d’Etudes Techniques de l’Equipement-Méditerranée  will guarantee the links to and consideration of public inputs. Also the access to different traffic modes are taken in account. One of the driving forces for traffic safety and efficiency on motorways are the road providers. Cofiroute formulates the infrastructure requirements coming up from the road providers perspective.

Enabling technologies represent the prerequisite for ADASE. CLEPA as the E&S industry association deals as a harmonisation platform for the European suppliers in the ADASE environment to provide the suitable technologies. 

The European car manufacturers BMW, CRF, DaimlerChrysler, Jaguar, Peugeot Citroën, Renault including their research organisation EUCAR are the driving forces for the ADA vehicle functions and onboard architectures in ADASE. Here the safety, comfort and efficiency plays the most important role for all traffic participants.
