Expert workshops


Expert workshops are organised to identify gaps that have to be filled with further research, and to generate common ideas for new European and National research projects. The aim is to bring all stakeholders of mobility and transport in Europe together to discuss, harmonise and initiate activities in the field of advanced driver assistance systems.

The following workshops were organised by ADASE.

  • Architecture and technology roadmap,
  • Legal aspects and human machine interface (HMI),
  • Road infrastructure design and road-vehicle, vehicle-vehicle communication systems and applications,
  • Sensor technologies,
  • Effects on safety, throughput  and comfort.

Workshop on architecture and road map

The first workshop on architecture and technology roadmap has taken place at Peugeot Citroën in Paris, March 2002. The results of the workshop are summarised in the following public report.

Workshop on human machine interfaces (HMI)

The second ADASE workshop had HMI issues as its topic. It was organised by Centro Ricerche Fiat and took place in Brussels on 28.10.02. The results of the workshop are summarised in the following public report.

The third ADASE workshop had vehicle-vehicle and vehicle-infraturucture communication as its topic. It was organised by COFIROUTE and took place in Paris on 05-06.02.2003. The results of the workshop are given in the report below. Also the presentations are available.

The fourth ADASE workshop had  sensor and actuator technologies as its topic. It was organised by CLEPA and took place in Brussels on 02.12.2003. The results of the workshop are given in the report below. Also the presentations are available.

Workshop on effects and policy

The fifth ADASE workshop took place at DaimlerChrysler in Stuttgart on 17-18.05.2004.  It was organised by AVV of the Netherlands. The presentations given at the workshop are given below.
